Even though buying something new can make anyone feel great, but for a shopaholic spending leads to more spending and even more expensive purchases. They do not think about the consequences and purchasing becomes an addiction that is hard to overcome.

A True Beauty Addict

54-year old Hillary Kosofsky, from New Jersey, is a serious beauty junkie that has a stash worth more than $30,000. Obsessed?? Yes, very! She has about 200 makeup palettes and says that she always buys two so she can use one and save the other but in some cases, never uses neither.

Hillary points out a Shimmering Dior powder and says, "I don't know exactly what it is or what it does, but I had to gave it. She also claims that anything that's a limited edition or has bling on it is definitely a weakness of hers. Kosofsky says that she loves doing her hair and has been dying it since she was 16 years old.

She claims that her husband has the smaller bathroom and she has the bigger one. She packs up all three drawers and takes up the entire linen room closet. "I also have a seperate stash in our weekend house which is probably half this much." Kosofsky says she always puts on a full face of makeup in the morning, 3 or 4 different eyeshadows, more than one mascara and 3 different eyeliners and lipstick.

The reason for her crazy makeup obsession is because when she was younger she was very insecure and felt as if she was okay-looking. Makeup has always helped make her feel beautiful. She realized that she had a problem when she ended up in $14,000 in debt but her husband lovingly paid it off.
